Meet the Audiologists at Our London Clinic
Featured clinician
Nick Clive
Chief of Audiology
Nick Clive is VIP Hearing Solutions' Chief of Audiology and a partner in the practice — the audiologist you're most likely to see at our London clinic. He has worked in audiology since 1999, beginning at King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor, and spent more than 16 years as Chief of Audiology at 150 Harley Street. A HCPC-registered Hearing Aid Dispenser, he is widely regarded as one of the most experienced audiologists in the Harley Street medical district.
Nick's reputation is built on the cases other clinicians find hardest — complex hearing losses and the precise hearing aid prescriptions they demand — alongside invisible, custom and Lyric fittings, tinnitus care and microsuction. Over his career he has looked after a high-profile London clientele who expect nothing less than the very best.
"After more than two decades in the Harley Street medical district, I've learned that the most difficult hearing losses are the most rewarding to solve. A hearing aid is only ever as good as the prescription behind it — and tailoring that exactly right, for every individual ear, is the part I love the most." Nick Clive, Chief of Audiology

London Clinic — Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a hearing test cost at the London clinic?
A full hearing consultation at our London clinic is £100. It's a thorough, unhurried appointment of around an hour with an expert, HCPC-registered audiologist — we review your hearing history, carry out detailed diagnostic testing, explain your results clearly and talk through every option, with no pressure to proceed. To book, call 020 3075 3190.
How much do hearing aids and ear wax removal cost in London?
A hearing consultation at our London clinic is £100, and microsuction ear wax removal is from £80. Premium hearing aids are from £3,295 per pair, fitted by an expert audiologist and including a bespoke VIP aftercare package and a free, no-obligation 30-day home trial. Where is the VIP Hearing Solutions London clinic?
Our London clinic is at 57a Wimpole Street, London W1G 8YP — in the heart of the Harley Street medical district. It's about a five-minute walk from Bond Street station, served by the Elizabeth, Central and Jubilee lines, and roughly seven minutes from Regent's Park station on the Bakerloo line.
How do I know if I need a hearing test?
Common signs include turning the television up louder than others would like, struggling to follow conversations in busy or noisy places, often asking people to repeat themselves, or finding phone calls harder than they used to be. Hearing changes gradually, so it's easy to miss. A full hearing consultation with one of our London audiologists gives you a clear, accurate picture of your hearing — and a plan, if you need one.
Do you offer same-day ear wax removal in London?
Often, yes. We keep appointments available for microsuction ear wax removal and aim to see you the same day where we can, and otherwise within the same week. Microsuction at our London clinic is from £80 — it's the modern, gentle alternative to ear syringing, removing wax precisely under a microscope with no water and no mess.
Do you offer ear syringing in London?
We offer microsuction ear wax removal, which is the modern, safer alternative to traditional ear syringing. Rather than flushing the ear with water, microsuction uses gentle suction under a microscope to remove wax precisely — with no mess and, in most cases, immediate relief. It is available at our London clinic from £80.
Is there parking near the London clinic?
There is paid on-street parking on Wimpole Street and the surrounding streets. Many of our London patients find it easiest to travel by Underground — Bond Street station is about a five-minute walk, with Regent's Park and Oxford Circus stations also close by.
Which audiologist will I see at the London clinic?
Our London clinic is home to a team of HCPC-registered audiologists led by our Chief of Audiology, Nick Clive — one of the most experienced audiologists in the Harley Street medical district. You may also see Mo Khan, our Deputy Chief of Audiology, Tim Johnson or Agnieszka Blasiak. Whoever you see, your audiologist is HCPC-registered and works only in your interest — never for a manufacturer.
Do you accept private medical insurance?
Yes — we work with all major UK private medical insurers, including Bupa, AXA, Cigna, Vitality, WPA, Aetna, Aviva and Healix. Cover varies by policy, so we recommend checking your plan or calling us; where your policy allows, we can settle directly with your insurer and handle the paperwork.
