Bespoke Fittings From All Seven Leading Brands
A hearing aid is a sophisticated piece of medical technology — and the right one depends entirely on you. So we fit from the whole market.
At our Eastcote clinic we offer the complete range of premium hearing aids from Phonak, Starkey, Oticon, Widex, ReSound, Unitron and Signia. Because we're genuinely independent, we have no commercial reason to push one brand over another — our recommendation is based on which device best suits your hearing profile, your listening world and your budget.
Every fitting at our Field End Road clinic begins with a comprehensive hearing assessment, includes a bespoke tuning process and a free 30-day home trial, and is followed by a VIP Clinical Care aftercare package — the standard 2-year Core plan, the 3-year Gold or our most popular 5-year Diamond.

Frequently asked questions
Eastcote Hearing Aids — Your Questions Answered
How are private hearing aids different from NHS hearing aids?
Both private and NHS hearing aids can be excellent — but they're optimised for different things. NHS hearing aids are typically behind-the-ear devices from a small, standardised range, fitted with limited appointment time and minimal long-term tailoring. Private hearing aids give you access to the full range from all seven leading manufacturers, in every form factor (including invisible and Lyric), with bespoke tuning to your specific listening environments, unhurried appointments, and a long-term VIP Clinical Care relationship.
If you'd like a fuller comparison — what each route gets you, the trade-offs, and how to decide — see our NHS vs private hearing aids guide.
How much do private hearing aids cost at VIP?
Our premium hearing aids start at £3,295 per pair. That figure includes a bespoke fitting from any of the seven leading brands, a free 30-day home trial, and a VIP Clinical Care aftercare plan (2-, 3- or 5-year). Essential and Advanced tier devices are available at lower price points. Your audiologist will quote based on which tier best suits your hearing — there's no obligation, and we'll never recommend a more expensive device than your hearing actually warrants.
Why is the 30-day home trial free?
Because a hearing aid that works beautifully in a quiet consulting room can feel completely different in your real life — in a noisy restaurant, on the school run, in a meeting room with poor acoustics. You need to wear them where you actually live to know if they're right. The home trial is free because we want you to be entirely certain before you commit, and we'll fine-tune the devices throughout the trial period as your real-world listening tells us what to adjust.
Which brand is best?
There is no single "best" brand — only the best brand for you. Each excels at different things: Phonak at speech-in-noise, Starkey at AI-led noise reduction, Oticon at brain-friendly hearing, Widex at musical naturalness, ReSound at connectivity, Unitron at tailored fitting, Signia at own-voice processing. Because we're independent, your audiologist will recommend the right brand for your specific hearing profile, listening world and lifestyle — not for our commercial benefit.
What does VIP Clinical Care actually include?
Each year of your plan you get a Comprehensive Annual Review (full hearing assessment, ear-health check, hearing aid service and retuning) and a Mid-Year Check-Up (ear health, hearing aid deep clean and fine-tuning). Postal repairs and loan hearing aids during repairs are always included. The package determines the duration: Core (2 years), Gold (3) or Diamond (5).
Do you offer invisible hearing aids?
Yes — at our Eastcote clinic we fit completely-in-canal (CIC), invisible-in-canal (IIC), and the entire range of extended-wear Phonak Lyric devices. Your audiologist will assess whether an invisible aid is suitable for your ear shape and hearing loss. See invisible hearing aids for more.
Will my hearing aids work with my phone?
Yes — virtually every modern hearing aid we fit includes Bluetooth streaming to both iPhone and Android, plus app-based volume and programme control. Streaming covers calls, music, podcasts and the TV (typically via a TV streamer accessory). Your audiologist will pair and demonstrate the streaming with your own phone during the fitting appointment.
Can I trade in or upgrade later?
Yes. Hearing aid technology improves quickly — the AI processing in today's premium devices is dramatically more capable than equivalent aids from 5 years ago — so most patients upgrade at some point. VIP Diamond aftercare includes discounts on early upgrades; Core and Gold patients can also upgrade at any time at our standard pricing.
How long does a hearing aid fitting take?
A typical fitting appointment is around 60 to 90 minutes — long enough to programme the aids to your exact hearing profile, demonstrate the streaming, walk through cleaning and care, and answer all your questions. The fitting is followed by a 2-week follow-up to fine-tune based on your real-world experience.
What's the difference between Essential, Advanced and Premium hearing aids?
The chassis is similar; the difference is processing power. Essential handles quiet rooms beautifully. Advanced copes well with moderate background noise. Premium is class-leading in noisy environments thanks to the latest AI noise-reduction processing — ideal if you're regularly in restaurants, meetings or crowded social situations.
How long do hearing aids last?
A good pair of premium hearing aids typically lasts 5–7 years before the technology is meaningfully overtaken. With our VIP Clinical Care aftercare plans, your devices are regularly serviced and fine-tuned so they perform well throughout their life.
Are rechargeable hearing aids better than battery-powered?
For most patients, yes. Modern lithium-ion rechargeable hearing aids run for a full day on a single charge, recharge overnight, and remove the daily fiddle with tiny disposable batteries. If you have dexterity issues or simply prefer fewer fiddly tasks, rechargeable is the natural choice — your audiologist will talk you through the options.
Do I need a hearing test before getting hearing aids?
Yes. A diagnostic hearing test is the first step — the audiogram it produces is what we use to programme your hearing aids precisely to your hearing profile. At our Eastcote clinic we offer a free 30-minute hearing screening, or a full £40 one-hour diagnostic assessment.
What if my hearing loss turns out to be ear wax?
Ear wax can mimic mild hearing loss. If our diagnostic test or otoscopy shows wax is the issue, we can book you straight in for ear wax removal at our Eastcote clinic — £80, free follow-up if not cleared first time. Once the canal is clear, we'll reassess whether hearing aids are still needed.
